The Oxford Community Foundation was incorporated in 2002. It is an organization that oversees endowment funds and makes charitable grants to community organizations and charities based in Oxford County.
The Oxford Community Foundation is made up of an appointed Board of Directors and community volunteers from across the county. These dedicated individuals represent a variety of backgrounds and volunteer professions.
The Oxford Community Foundation is one of 170 members of Community Foundations of Canada.
What is a Community Foundation?
A Community Foundation is an opportunity for people of all means to make a lasting difference in their community. Community Foundations do this by providing donors with flexible ways to ensure their charitable giving achieves the greatest possible impact.
Our Mission
The Oxford Community Foundation is established to be a catalyst to attract community resources and direct funds in perpetuity throughout Oxford County. This is done by:
- fostering the growth of community philanthropy
- providing quality services to donors
- building and prudently managing endowments
- addressing needs through strategic grantmaking and organizational support
- providing leadership on key community issues
Our Community
The Foundation contributes to the health and vitality of the community by assisting donors in meeting their charitable goals.
Funds can be directed to an extensive range of needs including:
- Arts and Culture
- Education
- Environment
- Health
- Recreation
- Social Services
